Rising Stars in Aortic Disease Award

The Collaborative Research Center 259 (TRR259) is a research network from the Universities of Bonn, Cologne, and Düsseldorf that is working on interrelated research projects in the areas of aortic disease.

With this initiative, we aim to comprehensively address the underlying mechanisms of aortic disease, with a particular focus on aortic valve stenosis, aortic aneurysm, and aortic dissection. We envision identifying novel pharmacological, interventional, and surgical targets for diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic strategies within the frame of translational and clinical studies.

The "Rising Stars in Aortic Disease Award" is an initiative aimed at providing funding for innovative research projects related to aortic disease. This award is designed to recognize and support exceptional researchers (PhD-Students, Postdocs) who are at an early stage in their careers and have demonstrated outstanding potential in the field of aortic disease
