Successful Participation of TRR259 Members at VMAC 2026
Members of TRR259 were honored with prestigious awards at the Vascular Medicine and Atherosclerosis Congress (VMAC) 2026, highlighting the excellence of early-career researchers within the consortium.
Yein Park, PhD student in the laboratory of Prof. Holger Winkels in Cologne and member of TRR259 project A09, presented his poster with the title “Olfr2 induces lipid metabolic stress in macrophages” in the session “CVD and Comorbidities.” His outstanding work was recognized with the Best Poster Award.
Jan Wrobel, Clinician Scientist in the same laboratory and recipient of the TRR259 Rising Stars in Aortic Disease Award 2024, showed his work in an outstanding presentation on “The role of fumarate hydratase 1 (Fh1) in atherosclerosis.” He was honored with the Young Investigator Award for the Best Presentation.
