  • every month, an external speaker will be invited to present their research

Journal Club (biweekly)
  • students will present a recent paper relevant to their research
  • discussion of the strengths and weaknesses of the paper presented
Soft Skills Courses
  • offered through the graduate programs of the three universities

  • full-day lectures covering preclinical and clinical aspects of aortic disease

    • Aortic Stenosis (Bonn)
    • Imaging in Aortic Disease (Düsseldorf)
TRR 259 Retreat (yearly)
  • all scientists from the Transregio will meet for a two-day symposium
  • participants will present their projects and latest results
  • networking with peers 
Summer School (yearly)
  • two-day gathering for all PhD students
  • presentations and discussions in the morning
  • outdoor activities and team-building in the afternoons
  • guest speaker will present research and offer advice
